Pacely

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pacely handles information when you use our website, iOS and Android apps, runner profiles, club pages, events, RSVPs, notifications, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, verification status, handle, profile photo, bio, race history, personal records, links, gear details, club memberships, event RSVPs, entries, and other details you add to Pacely.

If you create or manage a club, we collect the club information you submit, such as club names, descriptions, logos, meeting details, membership settings, organizers, members, event listings, routes, photos, posts, comments, waivers, and other content used to run and share your club.

We also collect information created through your use of the Service, including account sessions, authentication tokens, notification preferences, saved events, calendar saves, support messages, uploaded media, device identifiers, browser details, IP address, referral and campaign metadata, interaction analytics, and logs used to keep Pacely reliable.

If paid features, event registration fees, or other transactions are offered, we may collect transaction records and receive limited payment-related information from our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure accounts, verify email addresses and phone numbers, operate runner profiles, publish and manage club pages, support event RSVPs and entries, send confirmations and notifications, provide customer support, process transactions, improve product quality, detect abuse, protect users and the Service, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how Pacely is used, improve performance, develop features, and share high-level product insights that do not identify you.

3. Public and Club-Visible Information

Runner profiles, club pages, event listings, routes, and shared images may be public by design depending on the feature and your settings. Do not publish information you are not comfortable making public.

Club organizers and authorized club managers may see information needed to run their club and events, including member names, contact information when available, membership status, RSVP and entry status, waiver acceptance, and event participation details. Club organizers are responsible for the club and event content they create and for using member and RSVP information appropriately.

4. Mobile Information and SMS

If you provide a mobile phone number, we use it to send account verification codes and notifications about events you have RSVP'd to or clubs you have joined, including confirmations, reminders, and changes to event time, location, or status.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Service such as our SMS delivery provider, who use this information solely to transmit messages on our behalf.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

5. Notifications and Communications

We may contact you about account access, security, event activity, club membership, organizer actions, product updates, support, and administrative notices. You can manage available notification preferences in Pacely. Some account, security, legal, and service messages may still be sent when necessary to provide the Service.

6. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate Pacely, such as with infrastructure, hosting, storage, analytics, email, SMS, push notification, payment, security, and support providers. These providers may use information only to provide services to us.

We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, to protect the rights, safety, and security of Pacely, our users, or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

Pacely may link to or display information from third-party services, including race organizers, social networks, registration platforms, map providers, app stores, and club websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

8. Your Choices

You can update account and profile details, adjust public profile content, manage notification preferences, leave clubs when available, cancel RSVPs when available, and request access, correction, or deletion of certain account data, subject to legal and operational requirements.

You may delete your account from account settings. Some information may remain when it is needed for legal, security, anti-abuse, backup, accounting, or legitimate operational purposes, or where content has already been shared publicly or with other users through the Service.

9. Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Pacely, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect stored information, but no system is perfectly secure.

10. Children

Pacely is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice by posting the updated policy with a new effective date or by notifying you through the Service.
