no. a Pacely event is a link. it opens in whatever browser is already on their phone. no install, no "continue in app" nag, no app store detour before they can tell you they're coming.

there are iOS and Android apps if anyone wants one. optional. always will be.

name, phone number, and a six-digit code we text them. that's the whole thing.

no password to forget. no confirmation email sitting in spam. by the time the code goes through, their RSVP is already saved.

it's free. no card, no trial clock, no member cap, no "upgrade to post another event."

the honest version: charging clubs money before we've earned it would be insane. if we ever build something paid, you'll know what it costs long before you're near a checkout, and what you're using today doesn't move behind it.

no. post one run.

no roster to import, no migration to announce, nobody to talk into signing up for anything. make one event, drop the link in the group chat you already have, see who shows. if it's not better than what you're doing now, you're out about ten minutes.

three screens. name your club, say what it's about, decide how people join. then you're on your dashboard posting a run.

please do. we're not asking you to move your group chat.

a Pacely event is a link that unfurls properly wherever you paste it — the thread, the story, the bio. the chat stays where your crew already is. the run details just stop living in a message from four days ago that nobody can scroll back to.

no, and not by accident. your watch already knows your splits. it does not know who's coming thursday, where you're meeting, or who actually turned up.

that's the part we handle. you can put your Strava on your runner passport as a link — we're not importing your activities or building a second feed of your miles. that one's solved.

we text them a sign-in code, and we text them about runs they RSVP'd to — only if they check the box. reply STOP and it stops. that's the entire list of reasons we'd ever text someone.

we don't sell numbers. we don't rent them. we don't hand them to anyone for marketing. ever.

one thing worth knowing, because it's your club: as owner or leader, you can see your members' numbers on your roster. captains and members can't. the CSV you export doesn't include them at all. (US numbers only for now.)

your call, event by event. open events are public — anyone with the link can see them and RSVP. member-only events keep the guest list inside the club.

your club page can be public or private too, and an event stays a draft until you publish it, which is useful while you're still arguing about the route.

yes. clubs set their own timezone and their own meeting spots, anywhere on earth. nothing in the product checks whether you're in New York.

what is NYC-only right now is the browse-by-neighborhood directory, because that's where we started and where we actually know the running. your club page, your events, and your runners work the same in Chicago or Lisbon.

fair question to ask a company this young, and we'd rather answer it than dodge it.

your roster exports to a CSV whenever you want it — not after an email to support, not as a favor. your content is yours, and the terms say so in writing. you can delete your club or your entire account yourself, permanently, without asking us.

we're not going to promise you a decade. we can promise you're never locked in, and that you'll never have to beg us for your own member list.
